Pigments for soaps, bath salts, bath bombs, bath melts, lotion bars etc
Fine Quality Cosmetic Pigments
These pigments are very strong - you'll only need tiny amounts. Approximately one 16th of a level teaspoon of powder is enough to colour 1kg of dry ingredients to a pastel shade. Don't be tempted to add too much, especially when making bath bombs. Pigments look subtle when first combined, but when oils are added the colours become richer. Each 5g pack will colour at least 50kg of base ingredients to a pastel shade.
Directions
Add the pigment to your dry base ingredients, eg sea salts, epsom salts, sodium bicarb/citric acid, and combine well. The more thoroughly you do this, the more even the colour will be in your finished product. Then...
...for Bath Salts
Mix in your favourite fragrance or essential oil blend, herbs, petals etc, and store in air-tight containers until required. Glass pickling jars are ideal for this.
...for Bath Bombs
Stir essential oils, fragrance, petals or herbs into your sodium bicarb/citric acid mixture. Add melted oil or shea/cocoa butter and mix well, bind with a fine misting of water, then mould and leave to dry in the usual way.
