Procedure:         Concentrated product.  Do not ingest, use good

FIRST AID MEASURES

 

Inhalation:         Remove victim to fresh air.  Seek medical advice

 

Skin contact:      Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and water.

 

Eye contact:        In case of eye contact, immediately rinse with clean

                       water for 15 minutes.  Obtain medical attention if

                       pain, blinking, tears or redness persist.

 

Ingestion:          Rinse mouth out with water.  Seek medical advice

 

FIRE – FIGHTING MEASURES

 

Flammable class:      Combustible.

 

Prevention:        No naked lights.  No smoking.  Keep away from

                       sources of ignition.

 

Extinguishing media:      Carbon dioxide.  Dry chemical.  Foam.  Water spray

                       (DO NOT USE DIRECT WATER JET).

 

Special exposure hazards:      Avoid vapour inhalation.  Do not smoke.

 

Protection against fire:      Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing

                       apparatus.

 

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

 

Personal precautions:      Equipment cleanup crew with proper protection.

                       Wear recommended personal protective equipment. 

                       Avoid direct contact with skin & eyes.

 

Environmental precautions:      Notify authorities if liquid enters public waters.

                       Prevent spread of material by use of temporary bund

                       or impervious barrier.  Keep away from drains, soils,

                       surface & groundwaters.

 

Spillages:           Remove ignition sources.  Clean up any spills as soon

                       as possible, using an adsorbent material to collect it. 

                       Flush with plenty of water.

 

HANDLING AND STORAGE

 

Handling:           Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene

                       and safety procedures.  Wash hands and other

                       exposed areas with mild soap and water before

                       eating, drinking, smoking and when leaving work.

 

Storage:            Storage area should be cool, dry and well ventilated.

                       Store away from sources of heat or ignition.
