First Aid Measures

Skin contact: Wash skin with water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

Eye Contact: Immediately wash the eye out with plenty of water. Obtain medical attention if soreness or redness persists.

Inhalation: Remove from exposure.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If large quantities of this material are swallowed, call a physician immediately. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, ties, belt or waistband.

Fire-Fighting Measures

Extinguishing media: Select extinguishing agent appropriate to other materials involved. Keep containers and surroundings cool with water spray.

Unusual fire/explosion hazards: In certain circumstances, air/starch mixtures are explosive.

Hazardous thermal decomposition products: Combustion of this product will generate oxides of carbon.

Special fire fighting procedures: Fire fighters should wear self-contained positive pressure breathing apparatus and full turnout gear.

Protection of fire fighters: Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental Release Measures

Personal precautions: Wear appropriate protective clothing and respiratory protection.

Spillage: Sweep or preferably vacuum up and collect in suitable containers for recovery or disposal.

Advise authorities if spillage has entered watercourse or sewer or has contaminated soil or vegetation.

Storage: Keep away from heat. Keep away from sources of ignition. Empty containers may still contain significant residual amounts of the product. Ground all equipment containing material. Do not breathe dust.
